MXR M82 Bass Envelope Filter

(1) Bass Guitar Effect / HN109937
The Bass Envelope Filter is an Auto-Wah type bass effect, so it's used to modulate your signal in more than just an envelope filter style. It is built with the best materials, combining both modern and traditional technology to offer greater dynamic range, transparency and musicality.

Its fully analogue electronics are concealed in a solid metal chassis, which exits a high-quality 3PDT footswitch, five vintage potentiometers and input and output jacks. The effect is, of course, True-Bypass, so it doesn't affect your sound in any way when switched off. Power is taken care of by a 9-volt battery or adapter.

You use five potentiometers to adjust it. The basic settings are taken care of by Q and Decay, which determine the range of the "quack" and the decay time of the signal, while Sensitivity sets the sensitivity of the auto-wah to the strength of the signal. Unique are the Dry and FX controls, which separately adjust the volume of the original clean signal and the signal generated by the effect. The result is a very lively analogue tone that is at home in many musical styles.

The Dunlop MXR Bass Envelope Filter is therefore a first-class auto-wah that offers easy control and a wide range of sonic possibilities.
