Carbon Copy Deluxe is an extended version of the popular Dunlop MXR Carbon Copy analogue delay. It features a maximum delay time of up to 1200 milliseconds, external expression pedal control and added Tap Tempo function. It is controlled by a Tap-Beat footswitch and a Tap-Division button with phrasing in dotted eighths, eighth notes, triplets and sixteenths.
The main potentiometers determine the ratio of clean signal to effect modulation, the number of repeats and the delay time. The Speed and Width controls adjust the character of the delay effect's sound modulation in Mod On mode (by pressing the Mod button). You can freely switch between the natural sound of the delay effect and the distinctive modulations not unlike a chorus effect. The last button, Bright, highlights the high frequencies of the delay effect.
Inside the pedal is a Line/Instrument Level switch, which allows you to use the box both in front of the machine and in an effects loop. You'll appreciate the Dry Kill switch for studio work. The pedal operates in True Bypass mode, so it doesn't affect the pass-through signal in the off state. Power is supplied by a 9V battery or adapter.
