MS Škola smyčcové techniky pro violoncello op. 2, sešit III a IV - Otakar Ševčík

Violoncello Method Book / HN203621
Ševčík's Opus 2 is one of the key works of violin pedagogical literature. It focuses on the basic problems of right hand technique, which Ševčík practises in a systematically arranged 4,000 variations of all bowings. Shevchik's renowned method of thoroughly practicing the right hand is still used and appreciated by players of other string instruments today.

The author of the adaptation of the School of String Technique for Cello, Tomáš Jamník, an eminent Czech cellist living in Berlin, respects the differences in the difficulty of playing in the individual positions of violinists and cellists and transcribes the individual exercises into cello positions so as not to lose Shevčík's original pedagogical intent.
