Moog Theremini

Theremin / HN150110
Such an attractive design and yet it is the oldest electronic instrument in the world. It was the inspiration for Bob Moog back in 1954. Anyone who tries the instrument, whether a beginner or a professional musician, will find much inspiration and fun. Volume and tuning are determined by positioning the arms around the two antennas. The physical basis is the influence of the oscillator's frequency on the capacity of the human body.

This truly unique musical instrument is named after a Russian physicist and inventor. Lev Sergeyevich Termen (born15 August 1896 St-Petersburg, died 3 November 1993 Moscow). In Europe and the United States he was known as Leo Sergeyevitsch Theremin. Few people can imagine that there are entire orchestras playing, for example, Smetana's My Fatherland. Especially in Japan one can find professional players of this instrument.
