The Midas DM12 is a compact 12-channel analogue mixing console built from studio-quality components.
The 8 channels are equipped with top-of-the-line +48V phantom-powered microphone preamps (XLR connectors) that are appreciated by sound engineers worldwide for their transparency, fine-tuned sound, low noise and high headroom. All 12 input channels are also equipped with symmetrical line inputs (6.3 mm jack), and are divided into 8 mono and 2 stereo. Channels 1 - 8 allow the connection of external signal processors via insert inputs and feature 3-band EQ with parametrically tunable midrange frequencies, while stereo inputs 9 - 12 are equipped with dual-band EQ. All channels of the mix can then be effect controlled via the AUX1 and AUX2 buses in combination with a switchable pre/post fader option. Of course, panning and volume is controlled by 60mm faders. The main output (Main Out) of the console is a pair of XLR jacks with insert option, the secondary output with independent volume control is Monitor Out (2 x 3.6 mm jack). A 10-segment LED meter is used to indicate the output level. There is a headphone output (jack 6.3 mm) and also a quad of RCA cinch connectors for fast stereo input (e.g. CD, MP3 players) and output for recording etc.
