Michal Rácz A. Stradivari anno 2020

Acoustic Violin / HN255562
A master instrument from the workshop of Michal Rácz from Luby, a town in West Bohemia with a rich violin-making tradition. As the first-born son of master violin maker Petr Rácz, he follows in his footsteps. He became involved in violin making at an early age in his father's workshop. He is studying at the violin school in Cheb as the best student of the year and was awarded by the Schola Ludus Foundation for outstanding results in his studies in 2011.

He builds his master instruments by hand according to old technologies under the guidance of his father and it takes approximately three months to produce one piece. The top, bottom and neck are completely hand-finished. The material used is 30 year old naturally dried Italian spruce, Bosnian maple, ebony and snakewood. The varnish is based on a 90 year old Italian recipe. He uses models in his father's workshop to build the instruments.
