The X Series line of American Martin offers more affordable electro-acoustic guitars made in Mexico, enriching the classic look and sound of Martin instruments with modern touches in the form of renewable and composite components.
The body of the Martin Special X Koa D limited edition Dreadnought is made from modern HPL (High Pressure Laminate) material in a figured Hawaiian koa finish. The laminated neck (Natural Birch Laminate) is glued to a Richlite composite fingerboard with 20 frets. This eco-friendly material, visually similar to ebony, is characterized by excellent acoustic properties, durability and stability.
The strings are mounted through a compensated saddle made of artificial stone (Corian) in a Richlite headstock and chrome-plated mechanisms with a gear ratio of 18:1. The guitar comes in a quality case (Soft Gig Bag), making it instantly ready to be loaded into the trunk of your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.
