The Little Martin LX1RE may be the smallest acoustic guitar in the Martin range, but the same is not true of the tone and craftsmanship, which is fully in keeping with the company's tradition and reputation. Its affordability makes it an ideal choice of instrument for travel or home practice for players of all ages, who may also appreciate the built-in Fishman Sonitone preamp with Sonicore piezo pickup or the use of modern features in the form of renewable and composite components.
The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from modern HPL (High Pressure Laminate) in a rosewood finish. The laminated neck (Rust Birch Laminate) is fitted with a Richlite composite fingerboard with 20 frets. This eco-friendly material, visually similar to ebony, is characterised by its excellent acoustic properties, durability and stability.
The compensated TusQ composite saddle on a Richlite fingerboard, together with the Corian fretboard, provides the strings with excellent resonance and sustain. The guitar comes in a quality case (Soft Gig Bag), making it instantly ready to be loaded into the trunk of your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.
