The Martin Grand J-16E is a twelve-string Grand Jumbo electro-acoustic guitar with all-mass construction from the 16 Series series. It offers the full sound of a large resonant body with strong solid bass (body depth equivalent to a "three-hole").
The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back and sides of solid East Indian rosewood. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the lowered X-ribs (Scalloped X-Brace) of the soundboard.
The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position markers. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the string attachment through the compensated saddle made of TusQ material and the zero fret made of bone in the chrome-plated mechanics and ebony cob. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the Antique White perimeter binding, herringbone rosette and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, which also protects the lacquer from scratches.
The Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT2 electronics with controls in the instrument's soundhole guarantee a faithful reproduction of the acoustic sound. The guitar comes in a case (Ply Hardshell/Soft Shell), making it instantly ready to be loaded into your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.
