The Martin DJr-10E Sitka Top (02) is an all-massive electro-acoustic guitar that offers quality and craftsmanship in keeping with the brand's tradition and reputation at an affordable price. It will appeal especially to players looking for an instrument with the big sound of a dreadnought-type guitar, but with a more compact, narrower body and shorter scale, i.e. guitarists with smaller fingers or a more petite build. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are also made of solid sapele wood, which is very similar in properties and sound to mahogany. The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret fingerboard made of the modern composite material Richlite. The good acoustic properties of the guitar are accentuated by the reduced X-type (Scalloped X-Brace) ribbing of the soundboard.

The compensated TUSQ composite saddle on the Richlite headstock provides the strings with excellent resonance and sustain, along with the Corian fretboard. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by chrome tuning machines and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the guitar's paintwork from scratches.

The guitar is equipped with a Fishman Sonitone piezo pickup placed in the instrument's soundboard with simple Volume/Tone rotary knobs. Its services will be appreciated in the home and on concert stages.
