Martin D-28 Satin Streetlegend

The Standard Series line of American Martin guitars offers all-massive acoustic guitars made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, that carry the pure Martin DNA and nearly two centuries of the brand's legacy. You'll recognize the instruments in this series by their solid bodies made from premium materials such as genuine mahogany and details such as the traditional Dovetail Neck Joint, reduced X ribbing, Antique White binding and open tuning machines.

The D-28 Dreadnought is one of Martin's true flagship acoustic guitars. Its sound and playability have been loved by many players across musical genres, i.e. Hank Williams Sr. and Jimmy Page. The front of the D28 StreetLegend is made from spruce, while the back and sides are made from Indian rosewood. This combination of woods gives the instrument great sound projection, tonal articulation and balance across the frequency spectrum. A special feature of the StreetLegend model is the satin finish of the body with visible elements of faux patina, giving the instrument the look and feel of guitars played for years. The resonance of the soundboard and the overall good acoustic properties of the guitar are enhanced by the special X-ribbing (Forward-Shifted X-Brace).

The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by pearl position dots. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the fit of the strings through the compensated saddle and the bone zero fret in the nickel open mechanism and ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a rosette composed of black and white rings and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the guitar's lacquer from scratches.
