Martin D-12E

The Martin D-12E is a full-massive, large resonant Dreadnought-style electro-acoustic guitar from the Road Series that offers quality and craftsmanship that matches the brand's tradition and reputation at an affordable price. The classic look and sound of Martin-branded instruments is complemented by modern touches in the form of renewable components, composite materials and Fishman MX-T electronics with a tuner in the soundhole with auto-mute function for silent tuning.

The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are also made of solid sapele, which is very similar in properties and sound to mahogany. The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret fingerboard made of the modern composite material Richlite. The guitar's good acoustic properties are accentuated by the traditional X-brace front plate.

The compensated TUSQ composite saddle on the Richlite fingerboard, together with the Corian fretboard, provides the strings with excellent resonance and sustain. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a rosette composed of black and white rings, black binding and a black pickguard, which also protects the guitar's lacquer from scratches.

The guitar comes in a high-quality soft shell case, making it ready to be loaded into the trunk of your car/van for long or short trips to your musical dreams.
