The Martin D-10E Sitka Top - 02 is an all-massive Dreadnought electro-acoustic guitar that offers quality and craftsmanship in keeping with the brand's tradition and reputation at an affordable price. The classic look and sound of the Martin logo instruments are complemented by modern features in the form of renewable components, composite materials and Fishman MX-T electronics with a tuner in the soundhole with auto-mute function for silent tuning. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are also made of solid sapele wood, which is very similar in properties and sound to mahogany. The Select Hardwood neck, which is attached to the body at the fourteenth fret as standard, is joined by a 20-fret fingerboard made of the modern composite material Richlite. The guitar's good acoustic properties are accentuated by the traditional X-brace front plate.

The compensated TUSQ composite saddle on the Richlite fingerboard, together with the Corian fretboard, provides the strings with excellent resonance and sustain.
