Martin Custom Shop Sitka VTS Rosewood acoustic guitar is a top model from the Custom Shop workshops.

The front of the guitar is made of Sitka spruce, the back and sides are made of East Indian rosewood. The spruce soundboard has undergone a torefaction process and other modifications prior to assembly, which the manufacturer collectively refers to by the acronym VTS (Vintage Tone System). As a result of these processes, the wood takes on the unique sonic characteristics of mature woods that are fifty years old or more in a short period of time. The resonance of the soundboard and the overall good acoustic properties of the guitar are enhanced by special reduced X-ribs (Scalloped Forward-Shifted X-Brace).

An ebony fingerboard with twenty frets is glued to a neck made of real mahogany (wood of the Swietenia family of trees - Honduran, American/Cuban or Mexican mahogany). Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by front pearl (Abalone) and side white dots. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the fit of the strings through the compensated saddle and the bone zero fret in the Grover Gold tuning machines and ebony fingerboard. The refined look of the instrument is accentuated by the ebony body surround, mother-of-pearl rosette (Abalone), imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, backboard inlay and ebony veneer on the headstock decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay (Abalone).

Faithful transmission of the instrument's acoustic sound is guaranteed by L.R. Baggs Anthem electronics with patented Tru-Mic technology combining microphone pickup and Element sub-coil pickup. The controls are discreetly placed in the guitar's soundhole. The guitar comes in a carrying case, making it instantly ready to be loaded into your car/van for long or short trips to pursue your musical dreams.
