Marshall JCM900 4100

Tube Guitar Amplifier / HN075461
If you're a musician who admires the Marshall sound, but you're more comfortable with older Marshalls than the current range of more modern amplifiers, the Vintage range is the place to look. It offers faithful reproductions of some of the most legendary instruments to emerge from the manufacturer's workshops since the early 1960s - the first famous JTM45, the world-famous 1959SLP and 1987X "Plexi", the renowned Bluesbreaker, as well as the JCM 800 and 900, which defined the sound of modern music in the 1980s and 1990s. You really won't find any compromises with these machines.

With the 1990s, change came to Marshall - it was time to replace the legendary JCM 800, which helped the most famous musicians conquer the stage in the 1980s. The successor to the "eight" became the now legendary "nine" - an even more versatile machine, as it could produce significantly more distortion than the JCM 800. This is why the JCM 900 became the amp of choice for many modern guitarists, and it remains in their service today, as the 900 series has been replaced by the more modern JCM 2000

It is an all-tube unit, with three ECC83s in the preamplifier, and the final amplifier produces up to 100W of power thanks to four 5881 tubes. However, it is possible to switch the tube connection from pentode to triode, which reduces the power to 50W. Speakers with a total load of 16 or 8 Ohm can be connected to the unit, allowing you to build a stack completely to your liking.

The JCM 900 offers two channels. Each has its own Gain, Volume and Reverb controls. Common to both channels is a 3-band EQ, consisting of Bass, Middle and Treble potentiometers, which is complemented by Presence controls - the latter determines the behaviour of the upper mids at the end-amp level. There's a footswitch input on the front panel, in addition to the cable input from your guitar.

The rear panel is also quite minimalistic - you'll find an effects loop input and output with a level switch, two line outputs, one of which comes directly from the preamp and is useful, for example, for interfacing with another end amp, the other is emulated. The last elements are two jacks for connecting speakers with an impedance switch between 16 and 8 Ohms and a switch between pentode and triode, i.e. between 100 and 50 Watts of power.

The Marshall JCM 900 are the machines that will offer you that uncompromising sound that Marshall became famous for in the 90s. Thanks to them, you really won't have to worry about not being heard.
