All speakers are constructed from high quality multi-ply poplar plywood, glued and screwed together at the same time, and internally arranged so you can hear everything you want to hear from your instrument. All the materials and components used are chosen to be as high quality and lightweight as possible, it goes without saying that everything is subordinated to achieving optimum sound.

Markbass was one of the first companies to incorporate neodymium magnet speakers into their boxes in a big way. Their advantages, apart from good sound reproduction, are that they are extremely strong and therefore a magnet can be used that is considerably lighter than is usually the case with conventional loudspeakers. This brings us to the biggest advantage of Markbass boxes - despite their high power output and great sound projection, they are among the lightest speakers on the market - an undeniable advantage. All boxes also include a bass reflex for the best possible sound, which is placed either on the front or back of the cabinet.

This speaker is one of the smallest in the Markbass family of boxes. This makes it particularly suitable for use as an add-on speaker to combos (for example, it is ideally suited to the Markbass CMD 121P), or as a classic speaker for amplifiers if you are looking for mobile gear - after all, this box weighs just 13.3 kilograms.

Despite its smaller size, it has a power output of 400W, which is more than enough, it achieves this power at an impedance of 8 ohms. A 12-inch neodymium magnet driver developed by B&C takes care of converting power into sound, and for optimal projection you'll also find a piezo tweeter and a bass reflex located on the back of the cabinet.

If you dig deeper into the technical parameters of the unit, you will learn that the crossover frequency between the speaker and tweeter is 3.5 kHz, the speaker can operate in the frequency range from 45 to 18,000 Hz and the speaker sensitivity is 100 dB SPL. The weight is the aforementioned 13.3 kilograms, the dimensions of the cabinet are 38.3 x 43.2 x 35.8 centimeters.

In terms of construction, you will find everything here - the cabinet made of poplar plywood has protected corners, the speaker is covered by a metal grille, there is a carrying handle on the top, the surface of the box is carpeted.
