The body of this instrument is made from two pieces of select alder, which provides the ideal balance of great resonance and pleasingly light weight. The specific shape of the body is then not only a unique design element, but also provides the instrument with maximum ergonomics. The neck is made from a single piece of extra-hard flat sawn Canadian maple, which is also complemented by a pair of graphite bracings, ensuring absolute stability. The fingerboard is also made of maple wood and features 24 carefully ground frets or a GraphTech zero fret.

Sound pickups are handled by a pair of custom-made soapbar pickups, which are perfectly complemented by the popular Markbass Instrument Pre active electronics. With this combination, you have virtually unlimited sonic possibilities, but you can always be assured of pleasingly thick bass, focused mids and clear, superbly intelligible high frequencies. In addition to volume control for each pickup, the bass is equipped with a tone shield, which is also used to switch the instrument between active and passive modes, or a three-band equalizer.

Stable tuning is guaranteed by the high-quality Ultra Light tuning machines with a 20:1 ratio, while the strings on the other hand are anchored in a solid cob with zinc saddles, which guarantees long sustain and excellent vibration transfer to the body of the instrument.
