Description of product

The Helix products from Line 6 represent the absolute qualitative top of the range of guitar multieffects. The Helix HX Effects is a more affordable and compact, i.e. pedalboard friendly, model of multieffects that guitarists, bassists and keyboardists will appreciate in gigging and studio work.

Its dual DSP engine (similar to the company's existing flagship Helix Floor, Helix Rack and Helix LT) offers the sound and feel of classic and modern effects in the full dynamic range (up to 123dB) and can operate nine HX effects simultaneously. In Stomp mode, you can select from a sound database of nearly two hundred original Helix effects and M-Series effects divided into Distortion, Dynamics, Modulation, Delay, Reverb, Synth/Wah/Filter and Volume/Pan subcategories. Preset mod offers 128 presets.

Thanks to the intelligent interface and design, you can easily and quickly control and edit (change parameters, copy, paste, save, delete...) individual effects/presets, both by traditional scrolling with the knobs (a large rotary knob for selecting the effect and three smaller ones for adjusting individual parameters), and by the "hands-free" method with eight switches equipped with coloured LED rings and six LED displays, so you will always have a perfect overview of the ongoing operations.

Two effect outputs (L/Mono, Stereo) and two effect loops allow you to adjust the signal routing of individual presets to your exact needs (for both studio and live applications). MIDI compatibility allows you to control MIDI parameters and control any rigs via multieffects or switches and expression pedals (HX Effects offers two inputs for external expression pedals). Via the USB interface, load one of 128 IRs (Impulse Response) from the HX Edit app (freely downloadable from the Line6 website) to each preset. The multi-effect also offers a tap tempo function, a built-in looper tuner (Mono 60 seconds/ Stereo 30 seconds) and optional analogue Bypass switching (true bypass).
