RAY overcomes the main limitations that conventional microphones have - to ensure consistent sound quality, you need to maintain the right distance and avoid movement. When moving close to the microphone, the sound usually becomes loud and boomy, a phenomenon known as the proximity effect. As you move away from the microphone, the sound level decreases and the sound becomes thinner. RAY changes these rules with its sensor-based AURA technology, which precisely adjusts the level and color of the pickup depending on the distance from the microphone. This feature automatically monitors your voice so you can focus solely on your performance while creating flawless recordings for podcasts, content, live broadcasts and music production.

With the AURA feature turned off, RAY delivers the same superior results when recording vocals and instruments as LEWITT's best-selling LCT 440 PURE studio recording microphone. RAY uses an all-analog signal path.

MUTE by Distance - a revolutionary way to mute the signal
RAY introduces MUTE by Distance. Easily set a specific distance to automatically mute/disconnect the signal. You can move away from the microphone knowing that your audio will be muted or conversely, go live as soon as you get close. This changes the rules of the game for your live performance, stream and content.

MUTE button right on the microphone
RAY is the first professional studio microphone with a dedicated MUTE button. You get clear visual feedback when you activate the MUTE function, which also works when you activate MUTE by Distance. This convenient way to control audio is ideal for streaming, podcasts and video conferencing.

Genuine condenser capsule and top studio specs
The 1" condenser capsule is the studio standard for detailed vocal recordings. The gold-plated RAY capsule features a cardioid pickup characteristic that records what's happening in front of the microphone while suppressing sound coming from behind. The microphone features incredibly low noise - just 8 dB(A) and the ability to handle sound pressure levels up to 131 dB SPL.

All functions are powered via 48V phantom power coming from your audio interface or preamplifier.

Compact design suitable for camera
The RAY's compact design integrates perfectly with the included shock-mount bracket to reduce low-frequency rumble and noise propagated by the tripod structure. The special small-sized pop filter magnetically attaches to the microphone grille and does not obstruct the face shot like a traditional large pop filter.
