The Laney RB (Richter Bass) series offers instruments ranging from small combos for beginners to hear at home to multi-stroke monsters that won't get lost on the biggest stages. In summary, these models are characterized by excellent value for money, very good sound and superior equipment.
The 165 W RB4 combo is equipped with a 15-inch speaker and a switchable tweeter top. The combo provides a wide frequency range with a specifically defined transistor tone and enough power for performing in smaller clubs. As a precaution against overdrive, the panel features two instrument inputs for active and passive bass and a switchable compressor and limiter. Precise sound adjustments are made possible by the Enhance controls, which intensify the bass with treble and tighten the mids, as well as a seven-band graphic EQ, Bass and Treble. The Aux input for devices such as CD or mp3 players will be appreciated especially as a practice aid, while the balanced output serves as an output signal to the mixing console during recording or during a concert. On the rear panel there is an output for an optional external speaker, an effects loop and a handy output for a tuner. Massive side handles make transport more comfortable.
