The Laney RB (Richter Bass) series offers instruments ranging from small combos for beginners to hear at home to multi-stroke monsters that won't get lost on the biggest stages. In summary, these models are characterized by excellent value for money, very good sound and superior equipment.
The 65 W RB3 combo is equipped with a 12-inch speaker and a tweeter top. It thus provides a wide frequency range with a specifically defined transistor tone that will suit many a bassist. As a precaution against overdrive, the panel features two instrument inputs for active and passive basses, an integrated limiter and a switchable compressor. Sound adjustment is made possible by a three-band equalizer with a selectable mid-band, which in the case of bass guitar has a major influence on the character of the tone. Other features include overall volume, an input for devices such as CD or mp3 players, a headphone output and a balanced output with which you can output the signal to, for example, a computer and record directly or to a mixing console during a gig. Compared to the RB1 and RB2 combos, the RB3 combo is equipped with an effects loop in addition to higher output, and massive side handles for easy transport. A practical bevel on the back serves to tilt the box and thus to improve the listening experience during rehearsal or concert.
