Laney IRF-DUALRIG212 is a set of transistor amplifier IRF-DUALTOP with custom designed speaker GS212FE. These are products from the Ironheart Foundry series, which reproduces the characteristics of Ironheart tube amplifiers, but brings them in a new ultra-compact form without compromising their incredible power and versatility. If you're looking for a practical head and speaker set that will hold up in live performances but playfully fit into any rehearsal room or bedroom, the IRF-DUALRIG212 is the one for you.
The centerpiece of the set is the Laney IRF-DUALTOP, a two-channel transistor amplifier with 60 watts of power (switchable to 1 watt) and two channels of Clean and Lead, giving you beautifully clean sound as well as proper rock distortion. The control panel offers a separate section with volume and gain controls for each of the two channels, a three-band EQ, an integrated spring-based Reverb algorithm and switchable Boost. In addition, both channels feature a three-position mod switch that can be used to dramatically influence the character of the sound. The rear panel provides an XLR DI output with switchable speaker simulation (Off / 1x12 / 4x12) for direct connection to a soundcard or PA system. You'll also find a headphone output for quiet home practice, an Aux in for playing backing tracks, and a transformer-isolated effects loop for integrating your favorite pedal effects.
Equally important is the GS212FE speaker box, which has been specially designed to complement the IRF-DUALTOP head perfectly. It will offer you 120 watts of power at RMS and up to 480 watts at peak. Inside you'll find two 12-inch H1260 speakers. The box has a wooden construction and a so-called "open-back design" or open back plate. It is protected by black metal corners. Also included is a cable for easy connection between the amplifier and the speaker box.
