The Kurzweil SP1 is a stage piano especially suitable for students, music schools, small concerts or home recording. If you're looking for a simple instrument with a good sound, be sure to give it a look.
There are a total of 16 sounds in four categories that are accessible directly from the main panel. You can choose from the sounds of German D Artis Grands concert grand pianos, electric pianos from the Forte SE model, strings, woodwinds and basses from the PC3 series of instruments, and there are also organ, synthesizers and other sounds.
The resulting sound is easily enhanced with individually adjustable Reverb, Chorus, Tremolo, Delay and three-band master effects. You can save and quickly recall changes in the effects settings.
Of course, there is a fully balanced keyboard with full range and polyphony of 256 voices. These will allow you to rock out even in the most demanding tracks.
Thanks to the split and layer functions, you can layer up to four sounds on top of each other and play like an orchestra, split the keyboard into different instruments, or allow splitting into teacher and student areas. Easily save selected combinations.
Other features of this stage piano include a nice weight of around 12 kilograms, stereo input jacks for jamming with your favorite recordings, separate volume control for all four sound banks, modulation and pitch wheel or MIDI section for controlling external devices.
