The Pa600 is the latest addition to Korg's globally acclaimed Pa series of music arrangers. This new model is very compact, affordable and yet equipped with great sound, plus it brings a unique collection of high quality modern sounds and styles. Stunning sound
It all starts with the sound. Korg's sound quality is universally recognized as top-notch and relied upon by musicians around the world. So the Pa600 delivers even richer, more detailed, sophisticated and natural sound in almost every genre imaginable, thanks to the depth, nuance, subtlety, precision and richness of its samples and performance. This is helped by the DNC (Defined Nuance Control) system, which adds finer control and offers different levels of articulation. We also used several sounds from the OASYS (the most powerful synthesizer ever made) to help the Pa600 set a new standard for arranger keyboards. More than 950 sounds are ready to go, including an enhanced GM set and 64 drum kit sounds. There's also a great stereo acoustic piano, accurately and in multiple layers sampled from a concert grand piano, including pedal effects. Sounds are fully editable and changes can be saved in the User area.

A very interesting new feature with the Pa600 is the ability to buy specific sounds and musical styles, specific to particular areas around the world. This allows the Pa600's original sound library to be expanded by up to 96MB of additional PCM data and used for styles developed from a range of popular music styles in a given country. Effects
Of course, the superior sound is not solely due to the quality of the PCM data. For many years, Korg has been developing unique studio-quality effects that are simply breathtaking. The Pa600 has 4 Stereo Master effects processors with 125 great effects ranging from standard ones such as Reverb, Delay and Chorus, to specialized ones such as some universally acclaimed REMS effects for authentic guitar sounds. You can save the user's EQ on the track in the general preferences for the song's playback mode. This will help to customize the sound to your own idea from any played MIDI file. Need a lighter bass on a track? Specify the correct equalization and the bass will be lightened on all related songs.

The Pa600 also adds a limiter and a final 4-band parametric EQ to its sonic arsenal. This makes it easy to tailor the output sound to your musical tastes, or adjust the sound to the specific environment you'll be playing in.

Styles
The Pa600 delivers a deluxe set of exquisitely crafted styles programmed by top music arrangers from around the world. The result is hundreds of ready-made styles that offer unparalleled realism and detail. Covering a wide variety of musical genres, they allow you to use Pa600 for every occasion. If you need a really special collection of styles, you can simply record or edit them yourself in Pa600.

Your playing gets a more realistic feel thanks to four variations of Fill/Break transitions, plus three versions of Intro/Ending. More flexibility is added by selecting different transpositions to suit the characteristics of any instrument. The stunning Guitar Mode 2 brings a whole new perspective on how realistic guitar parts should really sound. And if you want to play a solo passage with both hands, record a chord sequence and let the Chord Sequencer in Pa600 play it for you.

Compact but powerful
The Pa600 is one of the most compact arrangers available. While its size may seem tiny, the performance of the exceptional quality built-in speakers is anything but low. Two 15-watt amplifiers that deliver sound to two bass-reflex systems generate an unusual listening experience.

Easy to use
With all the technological marvels inside, it was vital that the Pa600 was also easy to understand and simple to use. Your work with the Pa600 should be fast, intuitive and flawless. The panel layout has been simplified, and our graphical user interface uses a brilliant colour touchscreen, so whatever you think of, you can find and click to use - RX Technology at your service!

To help musicians of all levels create great music quickly, two user interface modes are available: Easy and Expert. In Easy mode, you can see only the most important functions in a clear layout, suitable for beginners or live playing. In Expert mode, all controls are displayed. Nothing stands between you and your professional result.

The switches are assignable, so you can customize them to your heart's content when playing live, for example, and then if you accidentally forget where you have the file, stack or style you need, just use the Search function and the Pa600 will find it for you.

Play and view tracks
The player on the Pa600 can load MIDI, KAR and MP3 format files. It can also read lyrics and chords from most of these files, and insert markers into MIDI files on the fly. The integrated Score Viewer allows you to view the master track (or any other track) in the classic view, with notes or chords, along with text and chord markers. Chord names can be displayed in different languages (English and Italian). For music students, there is also a function that displays the names of individual notes.

SongBook
This excellent feature has been developed to make your life easier when playing live. SongBook is a music database that you program yourself, including all the settings for playing individual songs. Then all you have to do is find the name of the song you want to play, select it and press "Play". SongBook allows you to use stylesheets, MIDI files, or MP3s, yet can instantly recall relevant settings such as song name, genre, author, tempo, volume, sounds, track muting, FX settings, simple editing, STS*, master transposition, and more. In short, everything you need for perfect playback of your songs can be found right in SongBook, a useful feature unique to Korg.
