Korg Opsix Module

The KORG opsix module is an upgraded version of the FM synthesizer that revolutionizes the music production environment in a compact 19" desktop/rackmount design.

The opsix module is a digital synthesizer like no other. The Operator Mixer section simplifies FM synthesis and makes it not only understandable, but also controllable - a simple set of six faders and potentiometers encourages you to find the right sound. With additional synthesis and programming options, it offers a more efficient workflow and an even richer sound.

The opsix module is fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix mk II, opsix SE and native opsix software, as well as many excellent third-party libraries. The new chassis is rack-mountable and has the same controls as the keyboard models, but the module version is easily portable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.

MIDI 2.0 and aftertouch support with polyphony
Thanks to the latest software updates, all opsix models, hardware and software, now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is also supported). All of this makes the opsix module an excellent companion to the Korg Keystage controller.

Rack-mount or desktop?
The opsix module is cleverly designed for desktop use or rack-mounting. The panel is redesigned to fit a standard 19" width, and the rear panel with connectors is recessed to allow easy access to cables even when other equipment is mounted directly above the opsix. For desktop use, the brackets can be used as a stand to allow for a choice of panel angles - straighter, suitable for playing standing up, or more upright for seated studio work.

Free music software package
