Electroacoustic tenor ukulele Kamaka HF-3 D FIVE.O Tenor Deluxe Ukulele is made of solid select Hawaiian koa. The wood grain is accentuated by a glossy lacquer finish. An ebony fingerboard with eighteen frets is glued to the mahogany neck. The company's nylon strings are secured across the TusQ zero fret in Schaller mechanics and ebony bridge. The luxurious workmanship is accentuated by mother-of-pearl inlay (Mother-of-Pearl) on the instrument's Hawaiian koa headstock, rosewood binding, maple and rosewood fingerboard and mother-of-pearl position markers.
Sound reinforcement options include LR Baggs FIVE.O electronics with Element pickup, Volume control in the instrument's soundboard and endpin preamp. The ukulele comes in a Kamala ukulele case.
Kamaka ukuleles are something of a "Holy Grail" for ukulele players. It is a Hawaiian brand with a long tradition of family-run operation, which brought the Pineapple ukulele design to the world (Sam Kamaka patented the design in 1928). Kamaka ukuleles have thus remained to this day the absolute top of the line all-wood instruments made from the finest woods.
