The Violet distortion pedal from American company JHS Pedals was created in collaboration with acclaimed Brazilian guitarist Lari Basilio, known for her virtuosity and distinctive sound - The Violet brings you her signature tone in a compact pedal version!
What makes The Violet different from the hundreds of other overdrive/distortion pedals on the market? The trick is that the equalizer's center band is placed before the distortion circuit itself. This makes it a flexible preamp instrument that can be used to control the character of the distortion and achieve a huge range of different specific sounds, from subtle overdrive to massive modern distortion. The mid-range can be adjusted with two knobs - Mid Freq lets you choose which frequencies to highlight or, conversely, dampen with the Middle knob. The standard Volume and Gain knobs control the volume of the output signal and the amount of distortion. Finally, there's Bass and Treble, which, unlike the midrange, are placed after the distortion circuit to provide a more traditional final equalization. The Violet is a simply designed but totally unique distortion pedal that opens up a world of completely new sounds through a little innovation. All the electronics are enclosed in a solid metal chassis. For power supply you will use a 9V adapter (not included).
