The JET JS-480 electric guitars are an extension of the 400 series. They are still affordable instruments with the design and traditional elements of double-cut ST models.
The lime body of the JET JS-480 VI G electric guitar is covered with a glossy lacquer finish. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two frets is glued to a bolted Canadian maple neck. The neck has been heat-treated prior to assembly, which makes the wood more stable while giving it the look/aura of a neck/fretboard that has been played for years.
The combination of a cobbler humbucker and two single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets provides the guitar with a wide variety of sounds that you will appreciate in many genres of music. The character of the sound can be shaped using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and five-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored via a bone fret in locking tuning machines and a synchronized tremolo. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by a bright pickguard and gold hardware.
