Jackson X Scott Ian King V LRL BLK

(1) Electric Guitar / HN213518
The X series of the American brand Jackson represents a mid-range electric guitar with typical corporate design and great playing characteristics, but still at a relatively affordable price. Specifically, the King models offer the Flying V body shape, a "V" shape popular among rock and metal musicians.

The construction of this guitar (a signature model by Scott Ian of American thrash metal legends Anthrax) consists of mahogany body wings and a through-neck made from a single piece of maple with graphite bracing. This design has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. The fig wood fingerboard is fitted with twenty-two jumbo-sized frets. Its combined radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl type. An interesting feature is the shorter menus (629 mm), which offers less string tension and thus easier execution of bending and vibrato techniques.

Two Duncan Designed humbuckers with ceramic magnets and high output signal give the guitar the juicy sound so much needed in metal and rock music. Volume potentiometers, tone controls, and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by fitting the strings through a fully adjustable compensated tailpiece (TOM style) in the strings and the company's Die-Cast mechanics. The guitar's stylish look is accentuated by the contrast of the gloss black body, large white pickguard and chrome hardware.

For several decades now, Jackson electric guitars have appealed primarily to musicians from metal, metal/core, HC and djent bands who have a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players. However, the radical metal design can also enchant adventurous musicians from the completely opposite musical spectrum, as evidenced, for example, by Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote, who in turn clearly prove that the sound of Jackson instruments can make its way into genres built on a clean, warm, sound.
