The X series brings together mid-range models of Jackson guitars, which in the case of this company means that for the money spent you get an instrument with parameters that you normally find in much more expensive models. You can expect through necks, a combination radius, Floyd Rose tremolos, and a set of excellent EMG, Jackson, Seymour Duncan, or Duncan Designed pickups.
The common denominator of almost all X Series models is a neck that runs through the entire body of the guitar, which has a positive effect on the overall sound and sustain of the instrument. The guitars' fretboards feature a modern, combined curvature (12-16") that allows for comfortable riffing at the headstock as well as ferocious playing at higher positions. They are fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets.
The Rhoads RRX24 models proudly carry the torch that Randy Rhoads himself lit when designing this legendary guitar. There is nothing to fault them in terms of style or sound. The body of these guitars is made of lightweight and resonant limewood, and the sound of the strings is carried by a pair of Seymour Duncan Blackout active humbuckers. The tone colour can be controlled via two volume knobs, a tone shield and a three-position toggle switch.
Of course, there are zero fret locks and Floyd Rose Special Double Locking tremolo.
At first glance, the refined design catches the eye with contrasting stripes, reversed "shark fins", chrome hardware and a maple fingerboard. You'd only find more spikes in a bow and arrow magazine.
