Electric seven-string guitar Pro Series Signature Josh Smith Soloist SL7 ET Aquamarine is a signature model of Josh Smith from Australian metalcore band Northlane.
The guitar's construction consists of an alder body and a through-neck made of caramelized maple reinforced with graphite bracing. This solution has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. The ebony fingerboard is fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. The combined radius of the fingerboard allows for both comfortable riff playing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions. The longer gauge (686 mm) helps with tuning stability and string tension even at lower tunings. The luminescent dots on the side make it easier to find your way around the fingerboard even in the dark.
The Bare Knuckle Impulse pickups give the guitar a full, solid sound even at lower tunings in both mid-gain and hi-gain settings (grasshopper humbucker) and the beautifully warm highs and solid bass of the neck single-coil. Adjust the character of the sound using the volume potentiometers, tone shutter and three-position pickup switch.
Stable tuning and good sustain are ensured by the string attachment in the company's locking mechanisms and the Evertune F7 tailpiece, which compensates for string tension during plucking and sharper playing, ensuring the guitar stays in tune in all conditions.
