The construction of this guitar is composed of poplar body wings, a fancy veneer top made of flamed maple and a through-molded maple neck reinforced with graphite bracing. This design has a positive effect on the sustain of the instrument. Twenty-two jumbo-sized frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. Its radius flattens towards the body - allowing both comfortable riffing at the zero fret and comfortable ultra-fast shred in higher positions.
The company's ceramic-magnet, high-output humbucker gives the guitar a juicy sound with good articulation even at high distortion. The strings are mounted in the company's locking Die-Cast tuning machines and adjustable TOM style tailpiece with string anchoring through the body.
For several decades, American-made Jackson electric guitars have appealed primarily to musicians in metal, metal/core, HC or djent bands who profess a loud sound with a more or less diluted dose of aggression, as evidenced by the company's roster of players.
