The JS series offers affordable electric guitars with all the typical Jackson features you associate with the brand and various forms of rock and metal music. Specifically, the Dinky models offer the popular Superstrat body shape.
The ergonomic body of this eight-string guitar with arched top is made of poplar. A single-piece maple neck with graphite bracing is bolted to a single-piece amaranth (purpleheart) fingerboard with a combination radius (12-16") and longer gauge (673 mm) fitted with twenty-four jumbo-sized frets. Position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl of the Piranha Tooth (Small Sharkfin) type facilitate orientation on its surface.
The guitar's two proprietary high-output humbuckers provide a full, juicy sound with the necessary articulation on the thickest strings to match the sound of core, djent or metal riffs and breakdowns. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used for sonic adjustments. Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the strings' attachment in the company's Die-Cast mechanics and a solid bridge with string anchoring through the body. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the Satin Black body finish and black hardware.
