The premium AXE I/O sound card is suitable for all guitar enthusiasts who care about great guitar tone and like to experiment with the sound of their instrument. IK Multimedia's sound engineers have spent thousands of hours exploring the relationship between the instrument, pickups and instrument circuitry, not to mention working with the world's most famous guitarists to learn how to create and capture the best and most authentic tone for your instrument. AXE I/O packs all this experience into a compact chassis with a great user interface and intuitive controls. A sound card not to be missed in any recording studio, it can also be used for live performance.

AXE I/O features two channels with GAIN control, five LEDs indicating volume level and a three-button control for input signal selection (Inst/Line/Mic). The soundcard also features a patented Z-Tone circuit that can match the impedance (Sharp/Bold) of your active and passive guitar pickups to give you the greatest range of tonal flexibility. The circuit also offers a two-position JFET(harmonic tone enhancement, sharper midrange and warmer sound)/PURE(ultra accurate sound of your instrument) discrete preamp switch. Also on the front panel, you'll find a PRESET control for switching settings in the AmpliTube Deluxe software (included), a button to turn on phantom power, a MONITOR potentiometer for input signal mixing, Headphones Volume, Master Volume, and an integrated tuner.

A pair of jack inputs for your instrument is complemented by a headphone output and an ultra-quiet output to a guitar speaker or other guitar gear. The rear panel then features a combo Jack/XLR input for microphone or line input, two stereo Jack outputs, Jack outputs for expression pedals, a USB output for Mac/PC, MIDI In/Out (iRig Stomp I/O) and an adapter output. Setup and management of AXE I/O is then controlled via control software downloadable from the manufacturer's website.
