Ibanez TubeScreamer series effects pedals are of course based on the legendary TubeScreamer, an ovedrive pedal that has become a legend, the inspiration for many other effects pedals from many different brands and a standard in the field of distortion pedals. In this series you will find a faithful reissue of the original TS, its modern variations, and even a bass version.
Its electronics are hidden in a massive chassis, from which, in addition to the input and output jacks, a high-quality pedal switch and essential controls emerge. Power is supplied by the included 9V battery or 9V adapter (not included).
The settings here are taken care of by five potentiometers, namely Drive, Level, Mix, Bass and Treble. The first two of them are used to adjust the level of distortion and output volume, of course. The last two, on the other hand, serve as a two-band equalizer adjusting the treble and bass. The magic lies particularly in the Mix control, which mixes clean and distorted signals, offering many sonic variations. Thanks to the wide range, it is possible to get an extensive variety of good sounds.
