The S series of the Japanese brand Ibanez presents electric guitars of the Superstrat type with typical cut-outs and shaped top of the light mahogany body.
The mahogany body of the S1070PBZ-CLB is decorated with a spectacular top veneer of poplar burl and strips of maple, walnut and panga panga. The neck, made from eleven pieces of panga panga, maple, walnut and bubinga, offers a similar mosaic of materials. The rosewood fingerboard is divided by twenty-four jumbo-sized stainless steel frets and mother-of-pearl position dots. The rounded fret edges (Premium fret edge treatment) and luminescent dots on the side offer greater playing comfort.
The guitar is equipped with three passive pickups from the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, with the cob and neck humbuckers (the familiar H-H Tone Zone and Air Norton configuration) complemented by a True Velvet single-coil center pickup. The guitar's sound can thus be aggressively dynamic with precise tone articulation and great sustain, but also pure warmth. This makes it stand out in a wide range of musical genres. Standard sound adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a five-position pickup switch.
The strings are housed in Gotoh locking mechanisms and a Zero-Edge II double-turn tremolo, which you use to embellish your playing with impressive sound effects. Stability of tuning during frequent use of the tremolo lever is guaranteed by locks on the zero fret and two additional springs (ZPS3 system), thanks to which the tremolo returns quickly and precisely to the neutral position. The stylish design is accentuated by the impressive Cosmo Black body colour and hardware.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
