Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous Super ST instruments. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard are the reasons for their extreme popularity among rock and metal guitarists.
The RGT1221PB-SWL's lime body is adorned with a spectacular 3mm thick poplar root veneer top and Stained Wine Red Low Gloss finish. The thin through-neck with Wizard III profile is composed of seven pieces of maple and walnut. Twenty-four Jumbo-size stainless steel frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. The rounded fret edges provide you with greater playing comfort (Premium fret edge treatment), while orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl and abalone imitation blocks and luminescent dots on the side.
The combination of two passive humbuckers from the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, a high output tailpiece and a milder neck, gives the guitar a clean dynamic sound with good articulation suitable for aggressive metal styles. The dyna-MIX 10 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers ten different pickup connection options, where you can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil pickup sounds, in standard and power tap modes.
Tuning stability and quick string changes are guaranteed by the string attachment in the Gotoh MG-T locking mechanisms and through the solid Mono-rail bridge through the body of the guitar. The guitar is supplied in a gig bag with a multi-tool.
