Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous Super ST instruments. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard are the reasons for their extreme popularity among rock and metal guitarists.
The lime body of the RGT1220PB-ABS is adorned with a spectacular poplar root veneer top, with the wood grain accentuated by the Antique Brown Stained Flat finish. The thin through-neck with Wizard III profile is composed of seven pieces of maple and walnut. Twenty-four Jumbo-size stainless steel frets divide the ebony fingerboard surface. The rounded fret edges provide you with greater playing comfort (Premium fret edge treatment), while orientation around the fingerboard is facilitated by mother-of-pearl and genuine mother-of-pearl (Abalone) imitation blocks and luminescent dots on the side.
The combination of two passive humbuckers of the respected Di-Marzio brand with Alnico magnets, a high output cobbler and a milder neck, gives the guitar a clean dynamic sound with good articulation suitable not only for aggressive metal styles. The dyna-MIX 10 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers ten different pickup connection options, where you can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil pickup sounds, in standard and power tap modes.
The strings are housed in Gotoh tuning machines and an Edge double-turn tremolo, which you use to embellish your playing with impressive sound effects. Locks on the zero fret ensure tuning stability when using the tremolo lever frequently. The beautiful workmanship is accentuated by the gold hardware.
The guitar comes in a gig bag. The package includes a multi-tool.
