Ibanez RGR5221-TFR

Electric guitars from the RG series of the Japanese brand Ibanez are among the most famous instruments of this type. Their flatter, faster neck, lighter weight and distinctive cutouts with stylishly pointed horns for easy movement across the entire fingerboard surface are the reasons for their extraordinary popularity among rock and metal guitarists.

The mahogany body of the RGR5221-TFR features an ash top. Glued to the fast neck with a Super Wizard HP profile composed of five pieces of maple and wenge is an ebony macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo stainless steel frets. Their treated edges provide guitarists with greater playing comfort (Prestige fret edge treatment). Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl offset position dots and luminescent markers on the side, which give you a perfect view of movement on the fingerboard even in dark, backlit stage environments.

Two Bare Knuckle Brute Force humbuckers with ceramic magnets and high output signal give the guitar a modern dynamic sound with precise articulation ideal for contemporary metal and core genres. Their coils can be split with a coil tap switch to achieve the sound of single-coil pickups and thus greater sonic flexibility. Standard adjustments include a volume potentiometer, tone shutters and a three-position pickup switch.



Tuning stability is ensured by the strings' attachment to Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and a solid Gibraltar Standard II tailpiece, which provides each string with optimal vibration transfer. The stylish design is accentuated by an impressive Transparent Fluorescent Orange body and headstock colour scheme and Cosmo Black hardware.

The guitar is supplied in a case.
