Headless electric guitars from the Q (Quest) series represent a completely new concept within the Japanese brand Ibanez. In addition to the headless design, it offers a variety of features, i.e. a lightweight ergonomically shaped body, R1 and Q58 pickups specially developed for the Q series and mechanics (String Lock, Mono-Tune) that maximize the instrument's sound quality and playing comfort.
The Q52PB-ABS' nyatoh wood body is adorned with a poplar root top and Antique Brown Stained finish. A three-piece heat-treated (or if you prefer, baked) maple and exotic bubinga neck is joined by a fingerboard made of grafted maple (also heat-treated) fitted with twenty-four Jescar EVO Gold frets. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by pearl position and side luminescent dots.
Two Q58 humbuckers developed specifically for the needs of headless guitars give the instrument a clearly defined sound balanced across the entire frequency spectrum. The dyna-MIX 10 pickup switching system (a five-position blade switch and a two-position alter switch) offers ten different pickup connection options, where you can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil pickup sounds in standard and power tap modes.
The strings are anchored in a one-piece String Lock mechanism for easy and quick string changes and separate Mono-Tune pickups.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
