The Performance series of acoustic guitars is the basic quality line of the Japanese manufacturer Ibanez. The PF instruments are characterized by their austere design and focus on sound and playability. They represent a good choice of a first instrument for complete beginners and a companion for travel, recreation, etc.
The layered body of this 12-string guitar is made of spruce front and okoumé back and sides. Glued to the nyatoh wood neck is a figwood fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. The resonance of the body is supported by traditional X ribbing, and orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position dots. A black pickguard protects the instrument's wood from scratches.
The strings are held in chrome Die-Cast tuning machines and a figwood fingerboard with Ibanez Advantage pegs, which are easier to handle than standard models. In addition, the string and pegs hold the string firmly in the optimal position, i.e. there is no loosening of the pegs as the string tension increases. The guitar's peg is shaped to optimally transmit the vibrations of the string to achieve the best possible sound.
