The MRC10-NT electroacoustic guitar is the signature model of Polish guitarist, composer and producer Marcin Patrzalek, who is known for combining fingerstyle and percussive playing techniques with modern electronic and orchestral production. It is a semi-massive guitar with a modern Ibanez AE body design guaranteeing excellent playability and great sound projection.
The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, the back and sides are made of laminated pau ferro with an attractive wood grain. Carefully designed reduced X-M ribbing and rib placement ensures efficient transmission of string vibrations through the fingerboard to the body, and an in-body wood slice helps create a "kick" sound during percussive playing. The nyatoh wood neck is glued to an ebony makassar fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Mother-of-Pearl position markers make it easy to navigate the fingerboard surface, while the narrow Thin-C neck profile, rounded fingerboard edges, and lower body cutout ensure easy fingerboard control and movement along the entire length of the fingerboard.
High-quality acoustic sound capture, whether percussive sounds or string resonance, is offered by Fishman's Rare Earth Mic Blend active electronics, combining magnetic pickup sound pickup and a flexible cardioid microphone. Controls in the sound box adjust the magnetic/mic pickup ratio and the amount of bass.
Stable tuning and ideal resonance are guaranteed by anchoring the strings via a bone-compensated saddle and zero fret in Gotoh Chrome mechanics with an 18:1 gear ratio and an ebony fingerboard. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The guitar's design is enhanced by practical and decorative elements in the form of a scratch pad made of solid Sitka spruce, a pau ferro body surround complemented by a wooden pickguard and a decorative rosette composed of wooden segments and mother-of-pearl.
