This Ibanez electric guitar is the signature model of the famous guitar wizard Joe Satriani. It is a high end Japanese instrument in the new Sky Blue colour scheme (replacing the previous Muscle Car Orange finish).
The body of the guitar is made of alder. To the neck made of three pieces of maple and exotic drumming is glued a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Medium size frets with rounded edges (Prestige fret edge treatment). Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by mother-of-pearl position dots.
Two DiMarzio pickups made to J. Satriani's specifications, i.e. a Mo' Joe "hotter" humbucker and a Satch Track single neck humbucker, give the guitar a great dynamic sound. The standard options for working with the sound are extended by push/pull potentiometers, where in addition to the coil-tap function (splitting the humbucker coils to achieve the sonic character of single-coil pickups) you can also use a hi-pass filter that prevents tone degradation (loss of treble) when the volume is turned down.
The strings are mounted in a double-turn Edge tremolo, which you use to embellish your playing with impressive sound effects. Locks on the zero fret ensure tuning stability when using the tremolo lever frequently. The guitar's impressive finish is suitably complemented by shiny chrome hardware.
