Ibanez Soundgear Series basses have been providing players with modern alternatives to classic bass designs since 1987. The body of this bass is made of nyatoh wood. It is bolted to a maple neck fitted with a fingerboard made of jatoba, i.e. Brazilian cherry, and twenty-two frets.
The sound of the strings is captured through two passive Dynamix single coil pickups and can be further controlled by volume potentiometers for each pickup separately and a tone shutter. To expand the instrument's sonic register, you can take advantage of the active circuit's connection to the PHAT II equalizer, which adds body to your playing by accentuating the low-end and treble.
The strings are mounted in a 19mm pitched neck, with large mechanics used for precise tuning, and the hardware is finished in black.
