Ibanez EHB1006MS MGM

Electric Bass Guitar / HN238873
Ibanez's futuristic-looking new EHB series comes with many atypical innovations, but the priority in its development was definitely maximum playing comfort. These basses are therefore indispensable for long practice Sessions as well as for demanding gigs, where the specially shaped and bevelled body at the back ensures that the bass maintains the same playing position when sitting or standing.

The body of the instrument is made of American linden, which is lightweight in itself, but thanks to the chambering, it elevates the bass to the ultra-lightweight category, while maintaining excellent balance and, thanks to the rounded edges, excellent ergonomics. The neck is attached to the body by five screws and is made from a combination of walnut and maple in the popular "roasted" finish, reinforced with graphite bracing. The fingerboard is made of grained maple, also in roasted finish. Another interesting feature of this instrument is the shortened and variable menus with a range of 825.5-889 mm, which guarantees maximum playing comfort and balanced string tension.

The instrument is equipped with two passive humbucker pickups, specifically a pair of T1 models. These pickups feature a pair of individually wound coils that are capable of delivering thick bass with great response, punchy midrange frequencies and beautifully clear highs. The already wide sonic palette is then expanded, for example, by the ability to adjust the pitch for each coil, allowing you to fine-tune your sound to perfection. The edges of the pickups are rounded so that they can be comfortably used as a thumb rest. The sound from them can be controlled by the Volume, Balance potentiometer and the active three-band Vari-Mid EQ, complete with a midrange switch as well as an EQ Bypass switch. This combination of pickups and other electronics makes it completely seamless to get a large number of sound settings while maintaining perfect tone color and dynamics. The strings are anchored in an MR5HS type headstock with a string spacing of 17 millimetres, which however offers individual pitch adjustment within a range of +/- 1.5 millimetres.

The bass comes from the Ibanez Workshop model series, which is associated with various typical features and innovations. Connoisseurs will be pleased with the luminescent markings on the side of the fingerboard, the lockable Neutrik jack output, the strap grips with Schaller S-Locks or the extra deep cutaway for comfortable playing even in the highest positions. Although this is a headless bass, there's no need to worry about changing strings, strung with a standard and high-quality D'Addario EXL170-5SL set, complete with an individual .032 string. A soft case is also included.
