The AZES (or AZ Essentials) series of electric guitars take the tone, versatility and great playing characteristics of the AZ series and offer them to a wider range of musicians thanks to their more affordable price point. However, these instruments also have their own specifics - a 635mm gauge, a one-piece mono-unit output jack, or comfort round steel saddles that allow for a wider range of string height adjustment.
The body of the AZES31-PRB is made of poplar. The maple neck is glued to a jatoba fingerboard with twenty-two Medium-sized frets. The position dots make it easy to navigate around its surface.
Three passive single-coil Essentials pickups with ceramic magnets give the guitar a balanced tone and sonic versatility - so the instrument can be used in a wide range of musical styles. The dyna-MIX 8 pickup switching system (a five-position blade switch and a two-position alter switch) offers eight different pickup configurations, including series wiring.
Strings are anchored in the company's tuning die-cast (split-shaft) drives and through a fixed bridge through the body of the guitar. The stylish look is accentuated by a practical pickguard and chrome hardware.
