Electric guitars from the AZ series represent a pleasant revival of the Ibanez catalogue. It offers a classic round neck and a balanced asymmetrical body.
The body of the AZ2204B-BK is made of alder. Thanks to the ergonomic shape of the back of the body, the guitar fits naturally in your hand. The heat treatment of the maple neck and fingerboard (S-TECH treatment) improves their properties (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) while giving the guitar the look and feel of a mature/played instrument. The fingerboard is fitted with Jumbo size stainless steel frets, its rounded edges give players a more comfortable grip on the neck. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by black position dots and luminescent markers on the side.
The Seymour Duncan Hyperion passive pickups (a kobyl humbucker and two single-coils) with Alnico 5 magnets and a milder output signal guarantee a clean, dynamic articulate sound even with higher hi-gain distortion. The dyna-MIX 9 pickup switching system (five-position blade switch and two-position alter switch) offers nine different pickup connection options, including split humbucker coils or single-coil series connection.
The strings are held in place via an impregnated bone fretboard in a Gotoh T1802 tremolo and Gotoh Magnum Lock locking tuning mechanisms, ensuring tuning stability even with frequent lever use. The H. A. P (Height Adjustable Post) allows you to adjust the height of the string pin to achieve the ideal string tension.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
