The body of the Ibanez AS2000-BS semi-hollowbody guitar blends the parallel histories of the jazz mushroom and the electric guitar. It is an instrument from the top series Ibanez Artstar designed for professional guitarists and all music connoisseurs, who will be pleased with the quality of workmanship and care given to the smallest details.
The semi-hollow body of the guitar is made of figured African anigre and center block. The heat treatment of the neck composed of three pieces of mahogany (S-TECH treatment) improves its properties (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) while giving the guitar the look and feel of a mature/played instrument. The ebony fingerboard is divided by twenty-two Medium-sized frets and decorative position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl and abalone. The Prestige fret edge treatment completely eliminates the risk of sharp edges and provides your fingers with maximum playing comfort.
Super 58 humbuckers with Alnico magnets and a milder output signal offer a beautifully warm vintage tone that will stand out in jazz and other genres. The pickups are bolted directly to the center block for better sustain and to eliminate feedback. The character of the sound can be adjusted with two volume potentiometers, two tone controls, a three-position pickup switch and a Tri-Sound switch that offers parallel wiring and a split-coil neck humbucker configuration.
Tuning stability and good sustain are guaranteed by the anchoring of the strings via the bone zero fret in the Gotoh tuning machines, headstock and stringers. The nice workmanship is underlined by the gold hardware.
