The ATZ300 BK electric guitar by Ibanez is the signature model of Andy Timmons, an American guitarist with a distinctive phrasing, tone and fretboard that can navigate the waters of rock and jazz/fusion with ease.
The body of the guitar is made of African mahogany. Glued to the maple neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two frets with a Jumbo size (Prestige fret edge treatment). The maple neck has undergone a patented S-Tech heat treatment process before assembly, which improves its properties (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) while giving the guitar a nice vintage feel. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by decorative mother-of-pearl position markers and luminescent dots on the side, which give you perfect visibility of movement on the fingerboard even in twilight.
The DiMarzio AT-1 Signature humbucker with Alnico V magnets, a milder output (medium output) and a perfectly balanced ratio of warmth and sonic clarity is complemented at the middle and neck positions by DiMarzio The Cruiser mini-humbuckers with ceramic magnets and a cool dynamic sound that could be compared to traditional single-coil Strat pickups on steroids without their (for some beloved, for others annoying) hum. A volume potentiometer, two tone controls and a five-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound.
The strings are mounted in a Wilkinson-Gotoh VSVG tremolo. Stability of tuning even with frequent use of the tremolo lever is guaranteed by Gotoh Magnum Lock mechanisms with the H.A.P. (Height Adjustable Post) system, which allows adjusting the height of the individual mandrels of the mechanisms.
The guitar is supplied in a case. Multitool included.
