The AE series from Japanese brand Ibanez offers acoustic guitars with modern design, excellent playability and great sound projection.
The AE240JR-MHS is a short-scale model with a shorter scale and a smaller body. The front of the guitar is made of solid okoumé, while the back and sides are made of overmolded okoumé. The resonance of the top is aided by the reduced Scalloped X ribbing. A 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard is glued to the exotic nyatoh wood neck. A handy bottom cutaway makes it easy to play at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Stable tuning and ideal resonance are guaranteed by the anchoring of the strings through the bone compensated saddle and the zero fret in the company's high-quality 18:1 ratio gears and ovangkol fingerboard. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The nice workmanship is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a rosette composed of mother-of-pearl ring and maple lines and double-sided perimeter body trim.
The guitar's sound system is provided by an Ibanez T-bar pickup with Ibanez Custom preamp. The guitar comes in a gig bag.
